We love to teach our little ones the fundamentals of ballet technique in a super fun and creative way.  We keep our tiny dancers engaged and moving during this 45 minute class which also includes tumbling. Join us now and experience the magic of ballet.

Bringing the magic of the Emerald Isle to Tallahassee, we have a class for everyone!  We teach both traditional and choreographed dances to both traditional and contemporary irish music.

BEGINNING IRISH STEP DANCING

Dress Code: Girls-comfortable clothing such as leggings and a tee shirt or traditional dance wear such as a leotard or dance dress are fine.  Ballet and tap shoes are fine to start with. Ghillies and hard shoes may be purchased as the dancer progresses.  Boys-shorts or pants with a tee shirt, black jazz shoes and black jazz tap shoes.

Ballet/Pre-pointe

This class will prepare girls who are interested in pursuing pointe.  We will focus on stretches that safely strengthen the leg muscles, ankles, feet and toes.  Time will be spent at the barre, in the center floor and doing across the floor combinations and turns.

Flag Twirling

This class will teach the basics of flag twirling... spins, tosses and choreography.  Flag twirlers will perform at some community events as long as there's adequate stage space.

Dress Code: Comfortable clothing that's easy to move in, tan jazz shoes

We are super proud to offer non-competitive performance opportunities for those dancers who desire to perform more than once per year.  These groups perform annually at events such as Winterfest, Cascades Holiday Stroll, Thomasville Victorian Christmas, Springtime Tallahassee and other events that may become available.  

Cost: $58/month for 1 weekly class plus annual registration/recital/costume fees.  

These groups require two costumes.

Ballet - an artistic dance form performed to music using precise and highly formalized set steps and gestures.

Jazz - a lively, rhythmic dance performed to fun music

Lyrical - this style of dance combines ballet with the freedom of musicality.  Dancers often "act out" the lyrics of songs

Pointe - a part of classical ballet involving a technique in which the dancer supports all body weight on the tips of fully extended feet while wearing pointe shoes

Poms - an energetic form of dance that focuses on synchronized and precise arm movements, formations and jumps

Pre-ballet - introduces students to formal ballet terms and technique while using fun props 

Pre-pointe - this class helps students with flexibility.  Rather than a typical ballet class that focuses on moves, there is an increased time dedicated to stretching

Tap - this form of dance uses the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion which is accompanied by music
